We partner with host sites
We work directly with businesses that already host charging or swapping, or have the space and demand to start. We check for solar space, measure real loads and only go ahead where the site saves money.
Solar energy · Electric mobility
We are building a network of solar-powered host sites for charging and swap stations. You handle the fleet; we handle the power.
The opportunity
Our site partners are businesses with space, traffic and room for solar. We power them, and each one becomes a ready site for your charging or swap station. The host saves on power; you get a place to grow.
The model
01 —
We work directly with businesses that already host charging or swapping, or have the space and demand to start. We check for solar space, measure real loads and only go ahead where the site saves money.
02 —
We install, own and operate the solar serving the site. Metering, remote monitoring and local maintenance make keeping your equipment powered our core responsibility.
03 —
You keep your riders, batteries and brand. Our site partners are candidate locations for your next station, and we favour hosting compatible networks together where the equipment and commercial arrangements allow it.
Where we are now
We are in talks with our first site partners: businesses already hosting battery swapping, and others with room and demand for it. Each starts with a solar check and real load measurements.
Our experimental base is in Laisamis, Marsabit County, where we test equipment and operations.
For electric mobility partners
If you run a charging or battery-swap network, we can power your existing host sites and help you find new ones among our site partners.
Tell us about a host site where power costs are a problem, or where you want to add a station. One site is a good place to start.
We partner with PowerPoint Systems, bringing over 20 years of solar experience—from residential installations to 55 MWp utility-scale projects.
Who's behind this
I'm Justin Kaeser, a software engineer from Germany. I spent a decade building developer tools at JetBrains, with a focus on build systems—the infrastructure other software is built on. With Nenkima, I'm bringing that same focus to the physical world: energy infrastructure that people and businesses can depend on.
I'm married into the Laisamis community and partly based there. I built my home there and manage residential property in Germany. Northern Kenya is part of my family's life and the starting point for Nenkima.
My approach is to understand how something will be used, build carefully, and make it practical to maintain.
